How it all began. . .

At a civic luncheon in late 2004, the topic arose regarding the acute lack of affordable homes in all of Brevard County.  One of those seated at the table was Larry Sietsma, founder 20 years prior of now one of the nation's largest and respected homebuilding companies.

Some who knew him suggested he should do something about it.  However, he had transferred ownership of that company to his employees and retired five years earlier.   He shrugged it off as someone else's challenge--but the seed had been planted.

Over the next few months, Larry read several newspaper and magazine articles confirming the lack of affordability of new homes in the county and elsewhere.   The problem seemed to be speaking to him.  After discussing the situation with his daughter, Sandi Forest, they decided together to start a new homebuilding company which would focus entirely on the building of affordable homes to first time buyers.

During Larry's 15 years ownership of his previous company, they built more than 10,000 homes in Brevard and around the State of Florida.  Larry is a fifth generation homebuilder and Sandi is now sixth generation so they have a wealth of experience from which to draw.  It takes all of that experience and more to produce affordable homes in the present cost environment.  However, we have proved it is possible and we are definitely up to the challenge.
