Cocoa

Cocoa is a historic but “young” city, with most of its 17,000 residents between 20-44 years of age. It’s close to miles of unspoiled Atlantic beaches and the Indian River Lagoon, a twin paradise for sport fisherman and sunbathers. Historic Cocoa Village features quaint shops and restaurants and hosts street festivals and art shows several times a year. A central learning center, Cocoa is also home to Brevard Community College and the University of Central Florida’s Brevard campus. It wouldn’t be the Space Coast without nearby Kennedy Space Center, while Orlando’s theme parks and the Orlando International Airport are just a short drive away.

Palm Bay

Palm Bay is renowned for its beauty and affordability.  Set along South Brevard’s Indian River Lagoon, Palm Bay is close to everything with the small town values that make it a good place to raise a family. It has been consistently rated as one of the most affordable places to live in the nation.  Some of Brevard’s largest employers are located in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area, including Harris Corporation, Northrop Grumman and Gannett newspapers.  Located on Brevard’s “Space Coast,” Palm Bay residents need only step outside to watch rockets rise from Cape Canaveral toward space. Only an hour’s drive to the west is Orlando, the world’s #1 vacation destination and site of theme parks and major cultural venues.

West Melbourne

Quiet and peaceful with a country air, West Melbourne is home to nearly 17,000 residents.  Once comprised of large cattle ranches, the small city still has an active 4-H Club and horses and riders are a frequent sight.  Nature lovers will delight in Erna Nixon Park, where birds and endangered wildlife in the 54 acre preserve can be spotted from the extensive boardwalk.  Located between Palm Bay and Melbourne, West Melbourne is a favorite ‘bedroom community’ for employees of high-tech Harris Corporation, Brevard County’s largest employer. Shopping is a breeze at Hammock Landings in Palm Bay – or the Melbourne Square Mall on U.S. 192.  And frequent travelers will appreciate the convenience of Interstate 95 and the Melbourne International Airport –both only minutes from home!
